How We Began...

Parents Advocating for Catholic Education was formally established on May 10, 2017 and emerged from discussions at Christ the Redeemer Catholic schools council of councils’ meeting in April, 2017.

The group wanted to support and enhance the work already being done by our trustees, schools and central office. Parents indicated that there was a lack of understanding regarding the history, mandate, and issues facing Catholic education. Parents were very supportive of our schools but information or conversations designed to build knowledge and understanding do not take place. There was a desire to build understanding within the group and share information with Catholic school parents. Ideally information nights, meet the teacher nights and registration evenings bring out large number of parents and provide a great opportunity for sharing this kind of information.

PACE was founded with 7 members.

PACE officially changes its name to GrACE CTR in April of 2019 to align with the provincial GrACE organization.

We welcome the support of individuals who are committed to advocating for Catholic Education in Alberta.
